There are more than 50 shades of minky out there, and as a plushie maker, I realize that it can be difficult to know which color will work best for the particular pony you're working on. This is made even more frustrating by the fact that many of the images of the minky do not show the true color!I recently ordered a ton of swatches from fabric.com, and I'm continuing to collect swatches from various websites, in an attempt to get most of the minky colors. 3D PRINTED PONY COMMISSIONSHow many times have you said to yourself "Man, I really want a show-accurate toy of _____, but there isn't one, and commissioning a sculptor would cost too much."RABIDPEEP AND I HAVE A 3D PRINTER. First I model the pony up in 3DS Max. That's right, no lifting free models off the internet—we custom-model these toys to order. I export the model, and then it gets converted into code for the printer.
